American Girl Doll #Giveaway (2011 Holiday Gift Guide) Closed!

I know that when I was a little girl, I adored the American Girl Dolls. I loved looking through their catalog and marking the items that I wanted to add to my collection. Even now, I still adore the American Girl Dolls. I think that walking into the American Girl Store up in Denver last year, made me feel like a child again. Now, I was there to shop for my daughter and get some of the items she had on her Christmas list, but if I had had the time, I could have spent hours there. I must have gone through the me and my doll clothing a hundred times. They have a lot more accessories and clothing than I can ever remember there being when I was little. We had ordered a custom doll for her last year. She had her eyes on getting her own American Girl Doll for a while and we decided that she was old enough to get one. Along with the doll, I had her go on the American Girl website and look around, then make a list of what she might want. So I got a few of the items on her list last year, along with some other items that I felt were things that she just had to have and I knew that she would love. When Christmas came around and she got her doll, she was in love! I am also guessing that I did pretty good with all of the extras and clothing I picked out for her and her doll, because they seemed to be her favorite items Christmas morning. Since last Christmas, she has continued to add clothing and accessories to her collection. This past summer we were sent some really great American Girl books about the new girls that have been added to the collection of American Girl dolls. The books were about the new Historical Characters, Marie Grace and Cecile. We enjoyed reading the books together, and after reading the books my daughter had her eyes set on a Marie Grace Doll. She has mentioned it many times, I guess making sure we dont forget that she wants a Marie Grace Doll for Christmas this year. I do have to admit, if I was her age, I would want this doll as well. In fact I find that both the Marie Grace and the Cecile Dolls are both very pretty dolls. I love the period clothing that they wear and how their hair is done to match the time period as well. I love the stories as well that surround these girls, how they became friends, and how their life was back in 1853 in New Orleans! The wonderful people from American Girl sent me a Marie Grace Doll for review, I know that come Christmas morning, my daughter will be very pleased to see her doll under the tree this year. The people from American Girl are gearing up for this holiday season and they would like to put a smile on another little girls face by giving one of my amazing readers, their own Marie Grace Doll to share with that special girl in their lives!!!
