I am a beef and cabbage type of gal, so to get my party going, I started off by cooking up some of the Southwest Beef and Cabbage Soup that I found in the recipe book. Instead of cooking it over the stove, I cooked it in my Crock-Pot Slow Cooker, so that I could show off my new cooker off to my guests, which was a hit along with the books! I must say that the recipe along with the books were hits among my guests, and everyone loved the idea of being able to boost their metabolism in all stages of life and fitness.
At our party we had a mixture of people which included some MMA fighters. I can understand that in their profession, where they have to drop weight and keep a certain weight is part of their life, this book would be perfect for them! Aside from that, for people like myself, other parents and everyday people who struggle with weight, being able to get your metabolism going may seem like something that is next to impossible, but my husband, who has always struggled with weight, has been cooking meals from this book and he is finding that he has more energy and that he is slowly starting to loose weight! My husband loves that he can make a pot of food and that he can have that food saved for other meals like for lunch the next day! We have heard back from a couple of other attendees from our party who have tried some of the recipes and they like that they can make a pot of food, then have a couple of meals worth of healthy foods to help them work towards their own weight loss goals! In all, everyone who came to our party really enjoyed the information that we gave them from the books to the app that we showed them on The Fast Metabolism Diet website!
