This can be a lot easier said than done though, especially when you have a list that has people on it, including the kids, that are all completely different from one another. Don't get me wrong, the individuality in those I care about is what makes them so special to me, but in the same note, trying to find gifts over the holidays for each of them, can have me going in a circles. So instead of trying to be the one that tries to guess what everyone wants this year, I simply ask them. I will ask for a few suggestions, then go from there when it comes to the holiday shopping.
For me, this helps to reduce the stress, and also makes it so I am not questioning if they like what I got them, and if they will be returning the gift, regifting it, or putting it away to only take out when I am around, making the whole atmosphere during the present opening a awkward one. With my kids, I like to allow them to create a wish list, like the ones they can make when we go to Target.com. I also like, that when we utilize a wish list like the one from Target, the kids can not only add the gifts that they would like, but it makes the whole experience fun, with the Target Wish List App.
I have found this one to be a lot different than any other wish lists we have seen and used, in that we can download the app, create unique profiles for each of the kids, then let the kids add the items they want by exploring the Target Wish List Factory, and explore the rooms adding items they want from there. Or we can even scan the items they want with the camera on my phone, from the Target Kids Gift Catalog. So my son can go and search for those must have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle items and the XBOX One Games that he wants, add them and then allow my daughter to go on, put in her info and add those cute boots she found at Target that she just can not live without! Then, once they have their wishlists, we can share them, or those shopping using the wish lists, can search for the lists by entering the kids names or the parents names!! Making the holiday shopping experience a easy and fun one for everyone so you can get everyone what they want, and also making it so those like my sister, who wait until the last second to shop, can pull up my kids wish lists and get them gifts they will love!
So as you make those last shopping preparations or even ready yourself for those calls asking what the kids want for Christmas this year, create a wish list and help everyone stay jolly this holiday! Also enter to win a $100 Target Gift Card below!
