Holiday Guide: Barbie Fundamental Chemistry Set

When it comes to the holiday shopping and seeking out those perfect gifts to give, I find that there are a lot of things to consider, especially when it comes to shopping for the kids. For me, I like to take into consideration the likes and interests that the kids have along with any characters they are interested in. This allows me to narrow down the list, especially when I am seeking out the gifts that the kids are sure to enjoy playing with. So when we were sent the Barbie Fundamental Chemistry Set from Thames and Kosmos to review, I was excited to see what Heather thought about it and also add it to this years holiday guide!

Do you have a Barbie lover who happens to have a fascination with science?  If you said yes like I did with my daughter who is a fan of both, then this is the kit for you! This science kit is going to keep them entertained for hours of fun! The storybook style instructions will entertain and help guide your kids through the experiments. They will also learn the science behind the reactions, making this kit both fun and educational! This kit includes:

  • Portable science lab with special carrying case
  • Mix six different concoctions and potions
  • Includes 16-page, full-color storybook manual
I found that this does need adult supervision but it is a great way to spend some quality one on one time with my daughter and I personally can’t wait to see what our next experiment will be. Which in all, I find the Barbie Fundamental Chemistry Set to be the perfect gift to give this holiday season to the kids on your list who love Barbie and science!

Product received, thank you to Thames and Kosmos as well as the PR for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.

I like this! When I was growing up, Barbie was just a doll who you dress or find outfits to draw on. I love that the brand is evolving and it doesn't just have to be about dress up anymore.
