Peace Frogs is a company I am very familiar with! I remember Peace Frogs Clothing from when I was in high school. I used to have a Peace Frogs sticker for my car and some shirts as well. So, when I was given a Peace Frogs shirt to review for my readers I was all over it! I love what they stand for. Just looking at the Peace Frog symbol brings a sense of peace and for me, and a sense of comfort. When the frog was chosen as the symbol it was chosen for the fact that the frog itself as a species, is known amongst the American Indians, to be the symbol of good luck and peace. When Peace Frogs was started they were just international flag shorts. Once it was obvious that the focus and popularity was on the frog, they shifted from the flag shorts to the Peace Frogs clothing line and the accessories. Since starting out over 25 years ago Peace Frogs is still continuing to grow. You can find Peace Frogs products in major department stores, theme parks, kiosks, online and through their mail order catalogs. If I am not mistaken I think the first time I laid eyes on the Peace Frogs, I believe was at a Kiosk in Red River, NM. The first time I noticed the shirts I had to have one, and because I loved the frog symbol so much, I also got my first window decal for my first car! Something you really never forget. I know that when I got rid of my first car I went and got another Peace Frogs sticker and hung it in one of my collages that I made of me and my friends in high school, kinda of a little reminder of my first car!
Here is some info from Peace Frogs on what they stand for and do!!
Part of the Peace Frogs mindset is an awareness of our endangered environmental resources. A percentage of all sales goes toward funding research into the causes of the declining amphibian population around the world. in 1996 Peace Frogs established an amphibian research fellowship with the Organization of Tropical Studies, a nonprofit group of 55 universities and research institutions in the U.S. and Latin America dedicated to studying the biology of the tropics.
Peace Frogs does not represent any form of activism; rather, we are aware that now, perhaps more than ever, our entire planet needs some positively peaceful feelings. We care about the environment, but we care about people too. Customers are always telling us stories about what Peace Frogs means to them: its more than just a piece of clothing, it’s an icon of hope and happiness.
Part of the Peace Frogs mindset is a commitment to give back to the environment and to our community as a whole. That’s why a percentage of all sales are donated to help the environment and a number of other great causes.
