So my love affair has had to come to an end. Yes I will admit I am really going to miss that car. My daughter decided since the navigation was in a female voice that the car was a she, so she will be missed greatly. I am going to miss all of that money we saved on gas. Being able to charge up the battery from our garage. I am going to miss the smooth and quiet ride. And since I am horrible when it comes to directions, I am going to miss those wonderful people from OnStar who were like angelic voices guiding me to my destination. Oh ye Chevy Volt, our time was cut short, so sweet, so many memories made in just one week, oh how we will miss the, lol. So what if I sound cheesy, I do it cause I can, and if you had to go from an amazing ride back to the hunk of bolts, gas guzzling monster we have to go back to, you might shed a tear too. From the time we got back from Taos on Saturday to yesterday when they came to pick the Chevy Volt up, we did not spend one cent on gas. It would not be fair to compare the Chevy Volt to our personal vehicle. Lets just say, once we got back into our truck and we took it to fill it up, we spent more filling it up in gas than we did the entire seven days we had the Chevy Volt. It is very sad. Well here is my final review on this amazing ride. During the day I was able to drive around town, taking the kids to school and picking them up, going to the store, paying some bills around town and taking my husband to where he needed to go. Then once we were done for the day, we would just plug it in for the night to awake to a full charge and start a new day with out the use of gas. I did get some more attention here in Amarillo, we had neighbors come over and ask to go for a ride in this sleek looking ride. We were showing the house next door for our landlord and people that came to see the house seemed to find it very interesting to see a car plugged in from someones garage, and they just had to come and see and inquire about it. Now the attention we got here did not amount to the attention we got in the Taos Ski Valley, but those who did notice this amazing car, were very curious. I think the attention that came with this car was the curiosity that people had. There are not a whole lot of these seen out yet, and the fact that this car is so green, brings in all of the attention. From the futuristic sounding and looking engine to the sporty sleek look of the car, the Chevy Volt is definitely the ride of the future that is here now!!
