The hilarious movie, Bridesmaids, is going to be available on Blu-Ray and DVD on September 20! To help celebrate the release myself and other bloggers will be hosting some Girls Night In parties!! To get this party set up I am working on getting things together. One thing that I love is a good Margarita. Since this movie release will be a good way to officially end the summer, why not go with one of my summer favorites? Like a Watermelon Margarita!! The perfect and very tasty drink for a Girls Night In Party!!!
Why not get the girls together yourself and have your own Girls Night In, when the new Bridesmaids movie comes out, set up your own party! And feel free to make some Watermelon Margaritas and drink one for me!
To make one of these delicious Watermelon Margaritas you will need:
- 2 1/2 cups seedless (or seeded) watermelon, cut into 1-inch cubes, rind discarded before measuring
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 4 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces orange flavored liqueur
- 1 1/2 cups ice
- Lime wheel or watermelon wedge, for garnish
Put cut watermelon in a plastic bag and place in freezer for a minimum of 2 hours. (If time does not permit this step, add a few extra ice cubes when blending, the difference is not that significant.) Stuff all ingredients into a blender and puree until smooth. Garnish rim of glass with a lime wheel or a watermelon wedge and serve immediately.
