Over this past year I have been on a mission to loose quite a bit of weight. It has not been a easy journey, I have had my ups and downs, but I am still on my mission to meet my goal. I think that one of the tools that I have found to be my salvation is being able to track my progress. I have been keeping a journal of my progress, so that I can look back and remember, oh yeah, I will not do that again, or hmmm, since that worked I will stick to that. The thing I think that I have a issue with, is my journal is not as accurate as I would like it to be. I mean sure, I can mark what time I go to bed then what time I get up in the morning, and count that, but if I am marking the time, then I am not asleep, and I know that like many other parents out there, I am not sleeping the entire night. I get up and check on my babies, making sure that everyone is sleeping well, and that they have their blankets on them. So, if I mark that I went to bed at midnight and got up at 6 am, well that is not all true since I get up at least once a night, and I might not go to sleep right at midnight. Recently I was sent a great new product that not only tracks my steps each day, and has a app that tracks my calories, but it also keeps track of my sleeping habits. I have found having the Jawbone UP and the app to come in handy when I go to see my Dr. See, I can step on the scale and we can discuss my progress and what I can improve on, but I found that when I had the Jawbone UP app to show to my Dr, she was able to go over the progress and get that accurate charting. It gives both of us more to work with and more to go on when it comes to my health! When I am walking, whether I am at the park with Wyatt, or when I am at the mall shopping, it tracks my activity. Not only can I see how many steps I have taken each day, but I can see how many calories I have burned, and see the chart that shows yesterdays progress to todays, so I can compare and know what I need to do to continue or improve upon my progress. I also like that say, I get caught in the rain while on a walk, and end up getting pretty soaked on the way home, I do not have to worry about my Jawbone UP messing up, because it does have some resistance to water. Oh, and the battery lasts for up to 10 days, so I can keep it on for long periods of time! I like how it looks, with the bracelet or watch style fit, and using the Jawbone UP App is very easy to use and sync with my Apple and Android devices.
