Aside from the announcement of this amazing contest, with the holidays just around the corner, I have shared one of my favorite slow cooker, holiday recipes, using the Crock-Pot I was sent for my review! The recipe is one that I grew up with and one that is a holiday tradition in my home state of New Mexico. The recipe is for my favorite New Mexican Holiday dish of Posole!
2 tubs frozen Bueno Red Chile
2 lbs Boneless Pork Shoulder
6 cloves garlic (chopped)
3 tsp ground cumin
1 lg white onion (chopped)
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 bay leaf
3 15 oz cans of hominy (drained)
Add pork shoulder, water, garlic, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp oregano and simmer for 5-6 hours
Take pork out, drain, shred then add to pot with rest of the ingredients and set to cook on low for another 5-6 hours
Well to help get those holiday meals and cold weather slow cooker dishes created, the people from Crock-Pot would not only like to invite my readers to join the contest to win $5,000, but they would like to give one of my amazing readers their own Crock-Pot!!!
Product received, thank you to Crock-Pot for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.
