It’s hard to believe, but our summer is coming to a end, and before the kids know it, they will be headed back to school. When it comes to the back to school shopping, we tend to head out, get the items our kids need that are on those lists. The thing is, in reality, not all kids have the access to getting those school supplies they need. This reality is something that many kids have to deal with, and not having the supplies needed for school, can make getting school work done a task that may not be easily accomplished. So when we were given the chance to not only shop for back to school clothes for our kids, but also help kids in need when it comes to their school supplies at our local Gymboree, we were very excited to help out!
We found that when we shop at our local Gymboree or online from now until September 7th, we can find those clothes the kids need for school from their new back to school collection, as well as help kids in need of school supplies by donating through the DonorsChoose.org.
This is made possible because this back to school season, the wonderful people from Gymboree have teamed up with the people from DonorsChoose.org, to help raise money to get the supplies needed to the schools who have the highest need for them. I like that even if we just donate $1, we can supply a child with a pack of crayons for the year. In fact, with this program, they are helping to get the coloring supplies needed to the schools, so the kids in the schools with the most needs when it comes to those school supplies, can utilize the tools for creative expression!
Creative expression is something that is essential when it comes to childhood development, yet this year alone, 1.7 million kids will not have the access to the crayons, markers and paints they need for their arts and crafts supplies. Making the donations that can be made to DonorsChoose.org through Gymboree, essential and much needed for children across our country.
And to help with that back to school shopping needs for your own kids, the wonderful people from Gymboree would like to encourage you, my readers to help by donating and by also giving one of my amazing readers a $75 Gift Card to Gymboree!
Product received, thank you to Gymboree as well as the PR for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.
