When it comes to preparing kids to go to school we find that there is a lot that can be done. From teaching little ones their colors and numbers to teaching them to teaching them the alphabet and how to read. And when it comes to my preschooler, as we prepare him for school, I find that I like to seek out the products that can help him do his best. So when we were sent the Hot Dots Jr. set from Educational Insights to review, I was excited to share it with my preschooler and begin using it.
With the Hot Dots Jr. we get Ollie the Teaching Owl who along with the help of my preschooler, reads from the various activities that are included. There are 160 lessons on the cards provided that not only help with teaching my preschooler some reading basics like learning his sight words and reading comprehension, but also activities that incorporate some simple math, time and money as well as beginning science and more!
Then when it comes to how the Hot Dots Jr works, I like that it is a self learning tool, where the kids use the pen character to go over the cards in the places that the character directs the kids to go to, and they interact by choosing the correct answers. The characters play music and light up green when the kids get the correct answer, giving them a rewarding learning activity that they can play with over and over again. Which makes the Hot Dots Jr. a great choice to go with as you prepare your little ones for the journey of learning ahead!
Product received, thank you to Educational Insights as well as the PR for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.
