With the seasons changing, the weather starting to cool down for many of us, we find that it is that time of year again where the holiday season is near. With that said, I find that I like to look over the options when it comes to the gifts to give and also seek out the gifts that can be of a lot of use for my recipients. So when we were sent the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer to review, I was excited for our tech guru, Dale to check it out and share his thoughts on this printer with our readers.
First off, I have to admit that I’m a little bit bias about printers and I have been a fan favorite of Epson for years. I can’t even tell you how many times I have recommended Epson brand printers. Here is my story: Years ago when inkjet technology was new, I was a big fan of my Deskjet black only inkjet printer made by a competitor brand and I paid $400 for that printer and I was the talk of the town. This was because I had an inkjet printer so I must be rich. One day I was in need of a dot matrix printer so I went to our local printer store. As I was talking to the salesman, we got to talking about inkjet. He asked me how I liked my printer, I said it was great, I loved it! He asked me if I had ever noticed that the ink never really dries. I had not noticed that about the ink and had serious doubt he was telling me the truth. So I went home and grabbed a piece of paper that I had printed about 3 weeks earlier. I licked my finger and rubbed the ink right off the paper, I was stunned. The printer I had was never the same to me after that. I started thinking about printing an envelope and having it get wet and the address blurred or simply vanish from moisture, leaving the return to sender providing the return address didn’t vanish too. Let me get to the point, Epson introduced the Stylus. My father-in-law told me that the ink is dry like a laser printer, naturally after my experience, I didn’t believe him. We printed out a page and walked to the kitchen sink and ran water over the page. The ink did not smear and not one river of black ink was coming from that just printed page. It was amazing! Epson has been my favorite since.
So when we were given this Epson Expression Home XP-440 to review, I found that it makes for a great printer in my home. The Epson Expression Home XP-440 is one that has wireless features, prints much faster than one might think and is just an all around great everyday use printer. With any Epson printer, I recommend that you print something daily. The more they are used, the better they perform. This has individual ink cartridges at a reasonable price and you only have to replace the one you need. I really like the scanner and found that it works great and any photo you print will last years and years and years. And I must say, that the Epson ink truly is awesome. I believe it is the best inkjet ink you will ever find. Buying name brand ink is not an absolute but the quality of it, makes buying genuine worth it. Epson printers are always a good choice, they are very simple to set up, use and maintain and with the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer, you get a great small printer that does the work you need it to without taking up a lot of space! And to help when it comes to finding those gifts to give this holiday season, the wonderful people from Epson would like to give one of our amazing readers their own Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer.
