Smiley Cookies Review and Giveaway CLOSED!!!!

My kids and I have had the chance to review some very yummy cookies. The cookies came in yesterday and it wasnt but a few seconds after I opened the box that my kids and their friends were raiding the cookies! My little 2 year old made me laugh when he got his cookie. I gave him one from the box and he looked at it then laughed at it. That was just too cute, and to get him laughing right now is priceless to me! I had to put the cookies up, because that is all he has wanted. So I guess you can say, they are that good!!!! These cookies are cute, they are sugar cookies with smiley faces on them. The company that we got them from is called Smiley Cookies. These cookies are the perfect gift to put a smile on anyones face. You can create your cookies then send them as a gift or order them for yourself. They have gift packs you can order that are perfect for any occasion. Trading Phrases Review and Giveaway Closed!!!!

I love decorating my home. I love finding new things to decorate with as well. When I find something that I really like I have to share it with my friends and show it off! Well, I have found some decor that I have become really fond of so I would like to share it with you. I had received a beautiful wall decal from this awesome company called Trading Phrases. I have been on their site many times and I have to tell you, every time I go on there, I always seem to find something that I absolutely must have!!! I was given the chance to review one of the wall decals from Trading Phrases. I am a renter and I love the quote that I received for the review so instead of placing it on my wall I chose to add the wall decal I received to a old mirror that I had. Let me tell you, this mirror looks 100 times more attractive now. I have taken this old mirror out of storage, cleaned it up, and placed this beautiful decal on it.

Now I have a place for this mirror, I have it hanging up in my hallway. And when we move I can take my quote with me!! When I first got the decal out of the package, I was scared. I was scared that I might not be able to get it placed correctly or that I also might tare the decal and ruin it. Not the case at all. I must say, I am very proud of myself. It was not hard at all. They also add this strange looking tool that makes it so easy to hang the decal up with. I think if there was any difficulty involved in attaching it to the mirror it was because I had hung the mirror up in the hall before placing the decal on it. But even so, much easier than I had ever imagined. And it turned out so beautiful!!! Now for the part you have been waiting for, the giveaway!!! One lucky reader will be given a wall decal of their own to hang up and display in their own home! The decal is the 24x11 Home is Where Love Resides one in light yellow. Very nice decal!!

To win: Mandatory entry , head on over to Trading Phrases and take a look around then come back here and tell me which design is your favorite! http://tradingphrases.com/

Thrifty Thursday

You know I love to go shopping at all the thrift stores and antique stores here in town. My favorite part is finding treasures for a bargain. Every so often , when I can get my husband to go , I also like to go the local flea market. I have found many bargains there including this wooden highchair. My husband and I had been walking around for a while when I told him to keep his eyes open for a wooden high chair. Just minutes after saying that we came across this cute black wooden highchair and the best thing was the price. We paid $5 for it. I have friends always asking me where I got it and when I tell them where and for how much I can see the jealousy on their faces , lol. I have many finds that I am proud of but this highchair is #1 on my list of thrift finds!

Making Your Home Sing Monday

Making your home sing Mondays

So today I have been going through all of my daughters clothes. I first started on her closet then went to her drawers. I tell you, that girl has so many clothes. The thing that I find sad is that she has all of these cute outfits but none of them seem to fit her. With the new school year just around the corner , I have to make room for her new school clothes. I am not getting rid of everything, just everything she has out grown, which seems to be the majority of her clothes. I have designated a side of her dresser for play clothes and the other side for school clothes. Then I have her closet set up in sections, 1 for dresses, 1 for nice outfits, and 1 for her nice shirts. I have decided to go through everything of hers including all of her winter clothes that I kept from last year since she grew over this past Spring. With her closets and drawers now containing only what fits her and the garage now only containing stored items that fit her , I now have a pretty good size box and 2 bags filled with girls clothes. So what do you do with all of the clothes that no longer fit your kids? I for one love this site we have here called http://www.freecycle.org/ . There are freecycle groups all over the country. I love this site because it gives people a place to post their unwanted items at and a place that if there is something you want or need you can ask for it. So in the next couple of days , once I have gone through my daughters shoes to add to the box, I will be posting an add for free girls items. And someone who may need clothes for school this year can get them for free. It makes me feel like I have accomplished something and at the same time helped someone in need. So my question to you for today is: What have you done to make your home sing today?
